In this role, you will join a well-established, respected, and growing bank.
The role is based out of retail branches and will work with Relationship Bankers
to provide quality financial products/services/advice to existing customers as
well as build a new customer base. The Financial Consultant will seek to ensure
that the sales process is based upon a holistic profiling/financial planning
approach to ensure client satisfaction and attain maximum sales and referral
Analyze client/prospect financial needs and objectives, make appropriate
recommendations, and drive sales of investment and insurance products as
appropriate for and requested by the client.
Utilize a variety of industry resources; maintain comprehensive knowledge base
related to the investment market/offerings, insurance strategies/solutions,
economic trends/capital markets and the financial needs of the client segment
Build a significant fee-based business ? the expectation is that fee-based
revenues will reach 25% of annual production after three years and 50% after
Identify financial needs related to banking/mortgage/other business lines to
refer customers to business partners within and across lines of business who can
best meet those needs.
Foster positive relationships with colleagues of the assigned banking
May train/mentor/coach non-licensed bank associates.
Ensure that transaction documentation is completed/submitted on a timely basis.
Resolve as quickly as possible any problems with trade processing activities.
Operate in compliance with internal policies/procedures as well as applicable
Coordinate as appropriate with affiliate bank District Managers to
develop/implement marketing strategies, such as seminars, for the purpose of
increasing investment/insurance and banking customer account relationships.
Maintain expertise in the investment/insurance products offered through the bank
along with primary bank and trust products/services.
BA or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in investment/insurance sales
Series 7 required; Series 63, Series 65 or Series 66 strongly preferred
Life & Health Insurance licenses strongly preferred
Ability to interpret policies & procedures in accordance with standard banking
