SQL/.NET Application Analyst (56-14)
Growing fee-only investment management firm seeks an Application Analyst
to report to the Director of IT, working on small projects independently
but also in support of Senior Application Developers to update/improve
the firm's custom solutions. Must be a responsible team player with
capacity to research/learn/support a variety of systems. Requires
schedule flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and/or on
a rotating schedule.
Develop SQL queries/stored procedures/financial reports (via Crystal
Reports/SSRS/application report writers)
Develop data imports to and exports from existing database applications
Program in Visual Basic, HTML (Visual Studio 2005 or higher)
Assist in the maintenance of existing proprietary applications; assist
in the support off-the-shelf financial applications/reporting systems;
assist in the migration/testing of existing code to Visual Studio 2013
Testing/documentation of all development work
2+ years of experience writing SQL database queries, stored procedures
and developing SQL reports.
Experience developing in Visual Basic on .NET platform is also required.
Prior work in a financial services environment supporting trading and
accounting systems is a strong plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Technical certification like the Microsoft Certified Professional
Ability to handle multiple assignments/competing priorities
Strong analytical/quantitative/problem-solving abilities
Superior interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work both independently/collaboratively
