Title:
Managing Director of Investments & Fiduciary Services (1101-1)

Description:
SUMMARY: Community Bank seeks a Managing Director with strong background in
investments, trusts, sales and marketing as well as strong management skills
to manage a staff of 20 people and profitably grow the fiduciary services
offered by its Wealth Management division. Services include investment
management, employee benefit trust service, IRA administration, and personal
trust administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Management:
? Communicate investment philosophy with clients/new sales prospects
? Recommend/implement long term investment portfolios and manage large
cap blend portfolios

Client Services:
? Prepare/deliver presentations to internal/external audiences;
participant meetings for 401(k) clients
? Conduct scheduled meetings with clients to review investment
performance/risk tolerance/financial goals

Marketing/Sales:
? Compose investment analysis presentation materials for client
investment reviews/prospect presentations; write periodic market/economic
commentaries; preparation of marketing materials
? Market and promote bank products/services to retain and grow client
base
? Solicit new business through prospecting/telephone consulting/in-
person calling
? Design/conduct regular product knowledge and sales coaching/training
meetings
? Work with other departments to successfully complete the sales cycle
? Develop sales recognition/rewards methods
? Refer customers to other Bank departments for additional financial
service products
? Attend community events to promote business and demonstrate Bank?s
community support

Staff Management/Training:
? Recruit/select/train/provide leadership and performance feedback for
direct reports; recommend pay adjustments/staffing/work assignments; conduct
staff training including on system upgrades/vendor products/new banking
regulations
? Conduct staff/coaching meetings with direct reports to share
information and review overall job performance
? Establish goals/work plans consistent with Bank needs and monitor
progress
? Recommend/monitor budget and strategic plan; approve department
expenditures within authorized limits
? Recommend methods/procedures to improve department efficiency
? Attend management meetings and represent Bank at external
functions/activities
? Daily interaction with officers providing guidance on account
issues, client service and interactions with legal and tax professionals

Compliance/Risk Management:
? Serve as Chair of Trust Investment Committee & Trust Operating
Committee
? Direct completion of audits/regulatory reports
? Recommend/write policies for personal trust, employee benefit trust,
investments and operations
? Ensure adherence to Uniform Prudent Investor Act, ERISA, California
Probate Code and Internal Revenue Code

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in finance or closely related field
10+ years? experience in fiduciary services; 5+ years? experience in
management of investment sales
Extensive experience with managerial principles/practices/techniques
Strong background with banking industry operations
Exposure to FIS SunGard trust accounting system preferred but not required
Understanding of investment markets, estate planning, ERISA regulations, and
CA probate code
Ability to perform mathematical calculations including frequency
distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of
variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory
Any of the following qualifications/certifications would be a plus: MBA,
CPA, CFP, CTFA, JD, and CWS
