Title:
RFP/Proposal Specialist (1161-1)

Description:
Our client is an independent investment consulting and research firm looking
for a Proposal Specialist to manage the prospecting process for the firm
including the production of requests for proposals (RFPs) for traditional,
defined contribution, and discretionary consulting practices. Among these
responsibilities, this person will also complete due diligence
questionnaires (DDQs) for existing clients, as needed. The role will report
to the Head of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quickly gain in-depth knowledge of the organization to assist with the
completion of questionnaires and proposals regarding the firm and its
services
Maintain current information in the RFP software to complete required
questionnaires and proposals
Develop an understanding of prospect needs to appropriately tailor responses
Manage the process to ensure timely and accurate completion of RFPs,
Requests for Information (RFI), and DDQs
Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders as
required to provide accurate, thorough content in line with best practices
(Compliance, Traditional Consulting, Defined Contribution, and Solutions)
Monitor public databases and industry publications to ensure awareness and
participation in RFPs that are of interest to the firm
Maintain adequate prospecting records for each opportunity, including the
completion of the prospect summary
Gather information to assist the firm in competitively pricing new business
opportunities
Ad hoc assignments as requested

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelorís degree required; preferred emphasis in Finance, Economics,
English or Communications
Previous experience of ~3 years (minimum) in investment management or
marketing required
Experience responding to RFPs and using RFP software (Qvidian) preferred
MS Office programs experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects
successfully
Ability to work with limited supervision; self-motivated; flexible
May need to work beyond standard hours during peak periods to meet deadlines
Demonstrated solid judgment and ability to handle confidential information
