Paralegal - Tax Credit Finance & Syndication (1117-3)

Washington, D.C.

The Tax Credit Finance & Syndication Paralegal will join a successful Tax
Credit Finance & Syndication practice group focused on real estate and
project finance transactions. This individual will work with a wide variety
of well-connected industry experts to structure present and future tax
credit transactions. This role is ideal for an experienced real estate
paralegal and a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced,
demanding work environment.

Work with institutional investor clients seeking social investment
Perform due diligence including review of title commitments, surveys and
underlying title documents and entity documents.
Coordinate and implement transactions and closings.
Organize and maintain due diligence using document management systems.
Other responsibilities as client needs dictate.

Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate or appropriate job-related
experience required.
Minimum three years’ experience as a commercial real estate paralegal,
preferably in a law firm environment.
Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys and related title exception
documents and familiarity with ALTA title and survey standards.
Knowledge of partnerships, limited-liability companies, tax credit or
partnership syndications a plus.
Self-directed individual with the demonstrated ability to prioritize, juggle
multiple assignments, function as part of a cohesive team and meet deadlines
in a timely manner.
Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and critical-thinking
Strong oral and written communications.
Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet client needs.
