Compensation commensurate with experience

Chicago-based independent, registered investment advisory firm which invests
and manages portfolios for high net worth individuals and institutional
clients, is accepting applications for the position of Financial Planning
Associate. The firm currently employs over 50 professionals and manages over
$3 billion in assets through separately managed accounts, hedge funds, and
other vehicles. The Financial Planning Associate will work with individuals
and families to meet their short- and long-term financial goals. They will
have a solid command of all areas in financial planning including
investments, estate planning, tax planning, employee benefits, retirement
planning, education funding, and insurance planning.

Fact gathering and preparation and/or review of various analyses including
overall asset allocation statements, retirement projections, tax
projections, Roth conversion analyses, review of estate plan documents and
preparing summaries, education funding analyses, Social Security analyses,
gifting opportunities, insurance analyses, etc. to arrive at client-centric
financial solutions and recommendations
Assist advisors to determine target asset allocation mixes for new clients
and ongoing review of clients’ investment portfolios
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
Participate in client meetings, document, and execute meeting follow-up as
Respond to client and outside advisor inquiries
Expand personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional
development and joint work with fellow associates

CFP Certification or currently enrolled in CFP program with 3+ years of
experience providing financial planning services
Series 7 and Series 66 registrations preferred, but not required
BA, BS, and/or graduate degree or equivalent work experience required
Tax background or knowledge preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus
Excellent presentation and organization skills
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
