Title:
Retirement Plan Internal Wholesaler (1174-138)

Description:
The Retirement Plan Sales Consultant will demonstrate a full knowledge level
in assigned area and works under direction only as needed. This person will
manage the presale coordination and the entire sales process (from proposal
to closed case) for the firm. They will also partner with other associates
in the Divisional Business Unit (DBU) to identify, develop, and implement a
business plan and strategy for the territory. Relocation assistance to
Indianapolis is available for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

After receiving proposal requests, act as internal consultant, determining
retirement plan sales opportunities and presenting firms retirement
solutions to advisers via phone
Evaluate numerous factors (e.g., interest level, availability of
money/participant conversion) and recommend whether or not to pursue sales
opportunities
Review with Retirement Plan Consultant, as appropriate
Handle various questions and objections related to selling retirement plans
and 401(k)
plans, driving the plan forward to point of sale and sold case
Identify gaps and recommend improvements to plan design (e.g., pricing,
product),
researches information, as necessary, and consider territory nuances, and
competitorsí offerings
Prepare for follow-up with adviser by reviewing, analyzing, and researching
proposals
through various external resources (e.g., FreeERISA.com)
Utilize information received from RPC, internal systems, third party
administrator, and the adviser
Ensures the optimal retirement plan solution is presented
Provide training to elevate the overall retirement plan knowledge of DBU
associates
Identify training needs based on trends in daily interactions with other
departments or respond to requests from management
Prepare for training, as appropriate, and presents to associates in meetings
Proactively act as a resource to other DBU associates and other internal
departments
regarding technical retirement plan questions
Share techniques with associates on how to best utilize the idea and/or
information with the client
Collaborate with RPC to identify and implement strategies for plans,
territories and
relationships, meeting objectives and initiatives established in annual
business plan
Sell the need to have the RPC attend point of sale (POS) meetings with
advisers and plan sponsors
Effectively schedules the POS meetings
Communicate regularly with territory team (wholesaler, RPC, area sales
representative (ASR), divisional support associates (DSAs) to discuss
opportunities and challenges.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years working on an internal sales desk in the financial services
industry preferred
Effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of
associates, senior business leaders, and a diverse group of individuals
outside the organization.
Ability to lead/facilitate a variety of meetings
Must have sound judgment in resolving matters of moderate complexity
Effective and professional service orientation and builds appropriate
rapport with internal and external contacts a must
Knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends,
technology, and information affecting the department/business area
Working knowledge of retirement plan types, terminology, regulations and
procedures as
well as marketing and industry practices and ability to apply it to work
assignments
Effective and professional service orientation to build appropriate rapport
with internal
and external contacts.
FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses preferred
Previous Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred
Bloomberg exposure preferred
