Description:
Leading Atlanta accounting firm seeks a Senior Auditor with public
accounting experience (ideally in the non-profit sector) for an excellent
opportunity for professional growth and advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Run client engagements -- planning/execution, direction, audit completion,
other service offerings and budget management
Evaluate/make recommendations for improvement regarding asset safeguarding,
compliance with policies/procedures, reliability of financial
statements/underlying records, and efficiency/effectiveness of operations
Identify problem areas/client issues and propose solutions to
managers/partners
Plan/prepare supporting audit workpaper schedules and file memos
Adhere to highest degree of professional standards/strict client
confidentiality
Effectively wrap-up audit engagements
Identify value added suggestions from audit and reviews for client
utilization
Meet budget, realization and chargeable hour goal; advise team members of
availability and monitor progress toward goal
Effectively communicate with clients as required
Apply basic accounting/audit/tax knowledge to more complex projects
Take personal initiatives to develop career path
Supervise/train/mentor associates and review process
Become involved in staff/intern development
Be aware of developments/pronouncements and research technical issues
Become proficient with firms paperless audit software

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
2+ years of prior public accounting experience with emphasis on auditing
CPA License or completion/completing educational requirements for CPA
License
Experience and desire to audit non-profit entities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical/problem-solving/interpersonal/communication skills
Ability to supervise staff and lead projects
Experience with federal compliance audits performed under OMB Uniform
Guidance and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book)
