Analyst (Venture Capital Fund of Funds) (1209-1)
Compensation commensurate with experience
Fund of funds focused on early-stage venture funds (technology/life sciences)
seeks Analyst to work closely with Principal and Manager on venture capital
fund diligence, fund visits, prepare material for committee meetings, and
aggregate/analyze data allowing team to make decisions. Will help build a
robust fund pipeline, complete quarterly reporting, work with existing
portfolio funds, and interact with fund managers/company management
teams/limited partners/large corporations.
BA or MS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
Knowledge of Private Equity/Venture Capital, the technology/life science
industries and startups required
2-3 years’ experience in fund diligence and analysis preferred; will consider
2+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, business development or
Excel (dynamic modeling/scenario analysis/charts/visualizations) and
PowerPoint (creation/development) proficiency
Clear understanding of finance/financial modeling/valuation techniques
Organized/detail oriented; able to multi-task and create thorough/accurate
final product while balancing other priorities; exceptional verbal/written
communication skills; ethical/open-minded/diplomatic; self-driven;
demonstrated ability to work with limited direction using discretion/judgment;
proactive in suggesting programs/processes; demonstrated application of time
management/project management concepts/skills; effective communicator within
team setting; capable of using data to draw conclusions; able to take on
increasing responsibilities and grow into a larger role
