Title:
Financial Planning Assistant (1212-1)

Description:
Our client is a regional bank looking to grow their team by hiring a
Financial Planning Assistant. This is an administrative role performing a
variety of investment center support services; minimal sales
responsibilities/no cold calling. Reports to the VP Financial Advisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a first point of contact for clients
Assure compliance by maintaining compliant client files and submitting
copies of all correspondence to Compliance Team
Supervise and monitor processes for investment products, including trades
and new business applications; for service work with broker dealer and all
investment product vendors; and for insurance products, including new
applications and underwriting
Coordinate communications/meetings with attorneys, CPAs and other advisors
Handle/implement Client Appreciation tactics
Prepare meeting notes/agendas, charts, graphs, tables and other visual aids
for client meetings
Maintain client contact during the financial planning process, answering
client questions and providing information related to servicing their
accounts
Review and update client information for client review meetings
Follow through on post-meeting recommendations, e.g., completing trades,
researching and applications
Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor
and FINRA
Assist company personnel with servicing accounts
Assist with maintaining client files and database
Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and
for knowledge and skill development
Review all division activities relating to the public, customers and
companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
Must be familiar and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and
USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position (completes
all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed
violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other
appropriate bank officer)

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred
2+ years’ experience in financial services or equivalent administrative
experience with understanding of Wealth Management
Series 7 & Series 66 or Series 7 & Series 63 and State life, accident and
health insurance licenses preferred, or willingness to attain licenses
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; PC skills (word
processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
Must be highly organized, flexible, dependable and service oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet established
deadlines
Must be an assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others
