Business Continuity Analyst | Contractor

New York, NY

Duration: 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension

With guidance from Manager, the Business Continuity Analyst will assist with project management and
development/maintenance of recovery documents (technology recovery plans, operational recovery
plans, and detailed failover procedures) and support initial rollout/day-to-day administration of new
Business Continuity Management (BCM) system. Strongly prefer prior experience with end user-facing
systems implementations, strong systems background, technical proficiency with Salesforce.com,
financial services experience and high level of attention to detail/follow through.

Document/data administration for BCM system
Migrate current recovery plans/procedures/contact lists into the BCM system
Establish new user credentials; support system go-live; day-to-day administration efforts
Assist with end user training/user issues/changes as needed
Assist in documenting technology recovery plans/application recovery procedures across global
Ensure plans are captured/maintained within BCM system
Work with business managers to update operational recovery plans/procedures; assist with development
of new plans as needed
Assist with special projects/audits/DDQs/other duties as requested

BA in business, computer programing, information systems, or related field
3+ years of Business Continuity/Technology-related project management experience preferred
Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and/or Crisis Management experience preferred
General knowledge of technology infrastructure/application development; basic understanding of
financial services/risk management practices
Initiative to move projects forward, consider alternatives/improvements and make recommendations
Ability to work on simultaneous projects, plan/schedule work to meet long-term/short-term timeframes
Technical proficiency with Salesforce.com/Confluence/SharePoint
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Willing to occasionally travel as needed
Preferred: formal business continuity/technology training at major financial services firm; capability to
learn/understand complex business/technical models and translate to simplified terms; strong
information system project management/organization skills
