Operations Team Leader (1217-1)

Northbrook/Deerfield, IL area

The Team Leader plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the
office. With overall responsibility for day-to-day operations, the Team
Leader must be able to work effectively with other staff members, clients,
and the Wealth Advisor(s).

Communicates, implements, and ensures compliance with guidelines and
policies; maintains compliance policies and documentation; oversees the
compliance and advertising approval process
Oversees trading for the office: places trades and rebalances accounts;
reviews account confirmation statements; sends trading-related
correspondence to clients
Communicates with clients in person, in writing, and over the telephone;
meet with clients to complete paperwork; attend periodic client update
meetings with select clients
Manages new business functions such as processing new client forms and
following up with clients as needed to ensure processing is complete
Review commission statements and handle processing
Handles training and continuing education for the firm
Coordinates team meetings by setting agenda, disseminate minutes, give tasks
and timelines for completion
Develops and maintains written documentation (systems) of all activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Oversee hiring/training/management/development of client service and
operational associates

Bachelor’s degree is preferred
3-5 years industry experience
Knowledge of Wealthscape (National Financial Services), Orion, MoneyGuide
Pro, Salesforce CRM preferred
FINRA Series 6, Series 7, Series 65/Series 66 preferred but not required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent knowledge of the securities industry’s rules and regulations
Strong communication/interpersonal, organizational, and time management
Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate within tight deadlines
Prior management experience and a strong track record of leading and
developing individuals
