796-3 Job Type: Permanent Title: Account Executive (Commodity Risk) (796-3) Location: Flexible Description: Account Executive (Commodity Risk) (796-3) Location – Flexible Guaranteed income during training; will transition to commission-only ($100k+) Independent full-service commodity advisor serving clients (farmers) via offices throughout the Corn Belt and Southeast U.S. seeks Account Executives to consultatively sell products/services, while providing intelligence to home office about crop/livestock fundamentals. Entry level advisors will learn telephone skills/branding tools/market analysis/sales strategy in a commodity driven environment. Agricultural acumen desired but not required; successful candidates will have entrepreneurial spirit and desire to set/attain their own goals. Firm is selectively willing to open satellite offices in Midwest/Southeast for more experienced candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES: Solicit/develop new business via phone and one-on-one client meetings on the farm Secure new and maintain existing accounts; maintain daily/monthly/annual customer records Provide market information/outlook analysis/price risk assessment and recommendations to customers Execute futures/options trades as a price risk tool or for speculative purposes Conduct seminars, make radio/TV appearances, and leverage print media REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree (GPA 3.0 or higher) in agricultural business preferred but not required; communications, business and other majors can also be successful Must enjoy learning markets, working in an office environment, and spending hours on the phone teaching the company strategy to farmers Must be internally motivated and able to work independently Work experience involving customer relations is a plus, but not required Successful completion of the Series 3 exam within one year of completing training program Category: Asset Management Contact: nathan@bcius.com |
