Assistant Planner (1206-1)

North Dallas

Boutique wealth management firm in North Dallas seeking a Planner Assistant
with administrative responsibilities to grow with the firm.

Coordinate the back office financial planning process
Serve as a first point of contact for clients
Prepares planner for meetings by having all forms, required data,
presentations, plans and programs assembled and organized
Coordinates and assures that all action items are completed
Assists planner in maintaining a compliant practice (maintains compliant
client files; required Books & Records) Submits copies of all correspondence
to Compliance Team
Supervises and monitors processes for investment products, including trades,
and new business applications
Supervises service work with the broker dealer and all investment product
vendors, assuring that all tasks are systematically captured
Coordinates communication/meetings with attorneys, CPAs, and other advisors
Supervises and monitors processes for insurance products, including new
applications and underwriting
Manages firm filing system and planner e-mails
Coordinates and implements client “touches” (e.g., newsletters, birthday
cards, holiday cards)

Bachelor’s degree
2+ years’ experience in financial services or equivalent administrative
Series 7 and 66 preferred or willing to attain licenses
Life insurance license preferred or willing to attain license
Must have an internal desire to put the needs and interests of prospective
and existing clients above their own
Ability to work with a sense of urgency; demonstrating the ability to
efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment and handle a large volume
of calls, emails, faxes, and paperwork without cutting corners
Willingness to commit to, utilize, and follow current operating systems and
procedures while remaining adaptive/flexible to changing demands of a
growing company
Must have a professional demeanor, and ability to juggle conflicting
priorities and instrumental in creating a positive work atmosphere
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; PC skills (word
processing, spreadsheets, data base management); spelling and grammar
skills; good math, and analytical skills; strong research, analysis,
planning and organizational skills
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
